Strength Test: How We Create the Safest and Most Sturdy Furniture for Active Kids
When it comes to furnishing a child's room, parents always have plenty of questions. At Sofi dreamland, we regularly chat with moms on our Instagram, and the most common fear they share is: “What if my child starts climbing the wardrobe or bookcase, won't it tip over?” or “Can the top bunk withstand active play?”.
We completely understand these worries. Children are little explorers. For them, a house bed is a cozy bedroom, a castle to besiege, and a trampoline all in one. That is why structural safety is the top priority of our family-owned production. We decided not just to talk about reliability, but to show it with a real example.
Extreme Crash Test by Sofi dreamland (H2)
To dispel any doubts, we conducted a visual strength test of our bunk bed from the "Mason" collection. We invited two adult women and a young girl to climb onto the top bunk at the same time.
The Result: the bed easily withstood a total weight of over 150 kilograms, remaining completely stationary and stable. No bending of parts, no shaking. Parents can rest easy: our furniture is ready for any children's games and activities.

How do we achieve such durability? When developing each model, we take into account the specifics of children's behavior:
  • Premium and Durable Materials: we completely reject flimsy or cheap particleboard (chipboard). The frames of our beds, bookcases, and wardrobes are made of high-quality solid wood and durable birch plywood. They are designed for long years of service and high loads.
  • Anti-Tip Construction: all our wardrobes, chests of drawers, and shelves have a wide, anatomically stable base and correct weight distribution. Additionally, we always recommend fixing tall elements to the wall using special safety wall anchors included in the kit.
  • Perfect Ergonomics with Rounded Corners: every single piece of furniture undergoes thorough multiple sanding at our facility in Ivano-Frankivsk. All corners are smoothly rounded, minimizing the risk of bruises or scratches during active playtime.
  • Eco-Friendly Coating: toddlers often test furniture with their teeth. For painting, we use exclusively certified European water-based paints. They are completely hypoallergenic and do not emit any toxic substances or odors.
